Database "timing out" on Kaldin / Tomcat7 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. What's happening?

Question 1

I have Kaldin 2.2 over Tomcat7 installed on Ubuntu Linux 12.04 LTS. After about 24 hours, the database suddenly isn't accessible. No runtime errors. Just when the admin goes to login, it says "Invalid login". I managed to fidget with some of the config and fixed it, but its back again. Is this a problem with config of Tomcat or Kaldin? Any help is greatly appreciated. :)
